The US Navy Storm All Weather whistle is twice louder than any other mouth blown whistles that are available. The unique design of this whistle allows you to hear the sound under water up to around 50 feet. This is possible because when the whistle is blown the sounding chambers forces all water to be purged. This all weather whistle creates a clear high frequency sound that has a higher power rating than the other regular whistles. The Navy have tested these whistle under different circumstances and have found that the sound produced by these whistle have greater decibels and also can be heard inside a sound proof chamber. The harmonic chamber that is unique in the all weather whistle makes it create both high frequency and low frequency sounds using them.
